Clothes that allow visibility of the body, tank tops and shorts so the physiotherapy can do a thorough full body examination.
The first appointment will consist of a full assessment of your injury, pain, concerns and goals.
The therapist will have a conversation about why you are here, what your concerns are and your goals among many other questions. This will allow the therapists to build a case and understand what you are going through in order to create a treatment plan.
The physiotherapist will conduct a detailed assessment of your posture, range of motion and strength palpating the body and looking for signs of non-optimal movement.
Once the therapist finds the case of your injury, pain or limitations he or she will then advise you on the plan of action and provide you with education on how to proceed.
